Steering Wheel Transformation - Before & After Steam Cleaning
When was the last time you took a long hard look at the steering wheel of your car? You know all of the lotion, makeup, and sunscreen you put on each day - that ends up on your wheel creating a corroded caked on situation. Don’t forget about all of the dirt and germs that you touch throughout your day; then you get in you car and transfer it to your steering wheel.
So, what can you do to extinguish those germs and blast out all of that product build up that’s been worked deep into the leather for months? There aren’t too many efficient ways to do this but we have some solutions to help you through our Interior Clean packages.
Here is what we can do to clean up that wheel:
First, take a good look at this dirty, makeup coated steering wheel. Notice how the color of the wheel looks a little dingy and dull. That is from the dirt and product build up.
To really make sure that all of the products and dirt come out of the steering wheel, we take a soft detailing brush and use our pretreatment cleaner for vinyls, leathers, and plastics. We thoroughly cover the steering wheel with our professional products and work them into the material.
Following the pretreatment and interior shampoo we use our main source of cleaning power, steam. Steam blasts out any of the remaining residue and simultaneously sanitizes the surfaces. It really works magic right before your eyes, completely rejuvenating the upholstery.
Remember that dull and dingy steering wheel from just minutes ago? Don’t be surprised if your steering wheel is a completely different color than when we started cleaning the car. Most wheels become more gray and dingy as time goes on but with our in-depth cleaning process that wheel will shine and feel smooth.
There are many products that can help protect the interior upholstery and surfaces of your vehicle just like exterior protectant products. Some out our interior protectant products can make the upholstery hydrophobic and dirt resistant. It is good to reapply these protectants at least 1-2 times per year depending on how rough you are on your interior.
