Window tinting is an excellent way to add privacy, reduce interior heat during those hot days, and provide an extra layer of safety by minimizing shattered glass from falling inside the car (though we hope you never need that feature).

Knoxville’s Go-To Professional Detailer
Installing window tint on your car is a precise process designed to ensure a clean, high-quality result. Every vehicle is unique, and we tailor our approach to meet its specific needs. Here’s an overview of how we achieve flawless tinting:
Remove Existing Film (If Necessary): If your car already has window tint, we’ll start by removing it and cleaning off any leftover adhesive or residue. The time this takes to remove depends on the film’s age and condition. Newer tint is easier to remove, while older, deteriorated film may take more time (and have an additional cost).
Glass Preparation: Next, we thoroughly clean the windows to eliminate any residue or debris. This step is crucial to prevent imperfections that could show beneath the film once it’s installed. .
Cutting and Shrinking the Film: We then cut the film to precisely fit your windows, using either a plotter or hand-cutting, depending on the window’s shape. The film is carefully shrunk to conform seamlessly to the glass for a smooth, flawless finish.
Installing the Film: Installing the tint is the most critical step. We ensure it fits perfectly and that no debris becomes trapped underneath. The difficulty of this step can vary based on the size and shape of the windows.
Final Inspection: Once installed, we carefully inspect each window to ensure the tint meets our quality standards. If any issues are detected, such as debris or misalignment, we’ll rip it off and install the film again to ensure you're satisfied with the results.
Window tinting not only keeps your car cooler during hot summer days but also adds a more, modern look that many of our Knoxville customers enjoy.
In addition to tinting, we offer a range of services, including paint correction, ceramic coatings, and interior detailing, to help your car look its best.

The Benefits of Window Tint
Reduces Heat and Keeps Your Interior Cool
Ever feel like your AC is working overtime on hot days? Without ceramic tinted windows, the sun heats your car’s interior, forcing your AC to constantly fight the heat. Tinting your windows in ceramic film blocks much of that heat, keeping your vehicle cooler and more comfortable.
Improves Privacy
Without window tint, everything inside your car is on display—whether it’s you while you drive or your belongings when it’s parked. Window tint adds an extra layer of privacy and protection, making it harder for others to see inside your vehicle.
Improves Aesthetics
Tinted windows just look good. They give your car a modern, polished appearance. Tinting your windows is very practical, but a side benefit is it also looks great.
Provides Extra Safety
In the unfortunate event of an accident or a broken window, tint can help hold shattered glass together. This will reduce the mess and make clean-up and repairs a little easier.

Window tint is meant to be a long-lasting solution for your car. When installed properly with high-quality film, like the Edge Films we use, it can hold up for eight years or more. That’s why it’s so important to choose an experienced installer in Knoxville to get the job done right the first time.
We often see cars with tint that’s bubbling, peeling, or faded. Even if the installation was done right, problems can still arise if a low quality film was used because it’ll deteriorate faster over time.
That’s why we take pride in our work. If we’re not happy with how the tint turns out, we’ll peel it off and redo it—because delivering top-notch results is always our priority.

Window Tint FAQs
Can you tint my windshield?
Yes, we can! The windshield is often the largest window on your vehicle (unless you have a large sunroof or back window like a Tesla) and allows the most heat to enter. To keep your car cooler, we recommend ceramic tint for its excellent heat rejection. If you’re concerned about visibility, we often use 70% tint, which offers all the heat-rejection benefits without adding any darkness.
What’s the difference between dyed and ceramic film?
There are many tint options available, but we simplify the choice with dyed and ceramic film.
Dyed film: Provides privacy but no heat rejection.
Ceramic film: Offers the highest level of heat rejection, keeping your car significantly cooler and more comfortable while still adding the privacy aspect to it.
When can I roll down my windows?
It’s best to wait at least 24 hours after installation to roll down your windows. This allows the film to properly cure and adhere to the glass. Rolling them down too early can cause the film to shift or peel. During colder months, we recommend waiting 48 hours to ensure proper drying.
